About Balıkçı Kahraman

Balıkçı Kahraman is located at Rumelikavağı and famous with it’s delicious turbot tandoori. Balıkçı Kahraman is probably one of the most recommended fish restaurant in Istanbul by international and Turkish gourmets. It’s also recommended as best fish restaurant in Istanbul by Turkish gourmet Vedat Milor.

The restaurant is simply decorated. Fish nets are hanging from the ceiling and photographs with famous celebrities and authorities occupy the walls. Even though the place has no view, the chats and laughs of the guests with the light music in the background creates a nice and cosy atmosphere.

I highly recommend you to try turbot tandoori, scorpion fish and shrimps. Balıkçı Kahraman is known with it’s turbot livers, turbot eggs, mussels, sea bass tandoori and corn bread. Salad and tomatoes are totally organic. Don’t forget to drink Turkish Rakı with seafoods and fish.

Balıkçı Kahraman is extremely expensive! Prices are not fixed. So if you unsure about your budget, I recommend you to look for other places.
