Amazon has announced that it will establish a logistics base in Turkey to meet growing demand with an investment of more than $100 million, Reuters reported.

The American company says the facility will create more than 1,000 jobs in its first year of operation and support the domestic and export operations of small and medium-sized businesses that sell products on the site.

A logistics center in Istanbul will open this fall, the e-commerce giant added.
