Turkish Airlines has canceled 185 flights due to an expected snowfall in Istanbul on Thursday, the airline said in a statement.
Forecasters warned of bad weather in Istanbul on Thursday. In accordance with the decision of the Committee for Emergency Meteorological Situations (MADKOM), Turkish airlines remove aircraft from routes to Istanbul and back.
“185 flights were canceled at Istanbul Airport, of which 114 domestic and 71 international,” the statement said. The number is expected to increase.
