Separately, the ministry provides statistics for March. The Russians again took first place (+31.82% compared to the same month in 2022), Iran is in second (+10.49%), followed by Germany (+15.78%), Bulgaria and Georgia. Only 2.3 million tourists.
The National Institute of Statistics notes that tourism revenue for the first quarter was almost $8.7 billion. Foreigners spend $84 per day, the average length of stay is 12.7 nights.
772.6 thousand tourists from the Russian Federation arrived in Turkey, which is 114.18% more than in the first quarter of 2022. In second place is Bulgaria – 523.1 thousand people, an increase of almost 30%. Germany is in third place, 504.8 thousand people arrived from there (+ 20.66%)
