Berniq Airways has launched flights between Benghazi Airport (Libya) and Istanbul Airport. Flights in both directions will be operated twice a week.

Passengers of the first board of the airline in the Turkish metropolis were greeted with flowers.

According to a report by Airports Council International (ACI) of Europe, Istanbul Airport has become the second busiest airport in the world in 2021.

Last year, the air harbor served 26.5 million passengers on international flights.

On the occasion of the Ramadan holiday in May, the airport served additional flights.

On Sunday, May 8, the air harbor served a record 1320 flights, the passenger flow amounted to about 215 thousand people.

Together with Berniq Airways, the number of airlines flying to Istanbul Airport has increased to 84, including 15 cargo.
