Turkey exported more than $1.7 billion worth of hazelnuts in 2022. This was reported in the Union of Exporters of Hazelnuts and Derivatives of the Black Sea Region of Turkey (KFMİB).
Turkish hazelnuts hit the shelves in 127 countries in 2022, according to KFMİB. The volume of deliveries of products from Turkey in weight terms reached 312,564 tons.
The hazelnut export season in Turkey starts on September 1st.
For the first four months of the 2022-2023 season. in weight value reached 130,606 tons, and in price – 742 million 10 thousand 356 dollars.
At the end of the season, it is planned to deliver abroad at least 290-300 thousand tons of hazelnuts.
