Pierre Loti Hill in Istanbul is a hill on the shore of the Golden Horn Bay in the Eyup region. The observation deck on the hill and a cafe with a panoramic view of Istanbul have the same name.
This is one of the best viewing platforms in the city. It is located at an altitude of 53 meters above sea level. You can climb the hill using the cable car.

Within walking distance from the observation deck is the Eyup Sultan Mosque and the cemetery of the same name.
The name of the hill and the observation deck is closely related to the French sailor and writer Julien Viot (1850-1923). He became famous for his colonial novels about life in exotic countries, written under the pseudonym Pierre Loti.
You can get to the Pierre Loti observation deck from the foot of the hill on foot uphill or by cable car.

It was opened in 2005 in order to simplify access to the observation deck and solve problems with parking near it.
