This is what educated, intelligent Turks do. According to the norms of etiquette in Turkey, it is considered indecent to show guests the bill and show the money intended to pay for lunch or dinner. It is also rude to be interested in the cost of a meal – this is a sign of bad taste.
The one who invited pays in the restaurant. The exception is very close friends or relatives. When calculating, do not forget about the tip. In Turkey, this is not a voluntary sign of gratitude, but an almost obligatory payment. The size of the tip is from 10 to 20%, and they must be given personally to the person for whom the monetary gratitude is intended.
