Wouldn’t a week in Istanbul be boring?

In a city as beautiful and rich in sights as Istanbul, one does not get bored. This large city is full of interesting architectural monuments, which are included in the category of “mandatory”. These are the Blue Mosque, the mosques of Suleymaniye, Yeni-Jami, Eyupa, Hagia Sophia, the churches of Chora, Blachernae, Sergius and Bacchus …

The list can be continued for a long time, and considering that it is possible (and very necessary!) to go inside all these places of worship, it is better to take a couple of days to inspect them.

Museum lovers will also spend more than one day on them: museums of the ancient East, mosaics, Turkish ceramics are interesting. You can not miss the historical monuments (Theodosian walls, the Roman aqueduct, ancient towers) and the luxurious palaces of Topkapi, Dolmabahce, Yildiz.

It is absolutely necessary to make a trip along the Bosphorus to the Sea of Marmara, visit the Princes’ Islands, walk around the Asian regions of Istanbul, Uskudar and Kadikoy.

But you still need to sit in cozy restaurants with a cup of coffee and Turkish sweets, set aside time for visiting Turkish baths (hammam), shopping in shopping streets and colorful oriental markets! The week will fly by.
