Inspired by Galleria Houston, this two-floor center revolutionized Turkish retail and remains popular today, housing 140 stores with numerous famous international and local brands like Sarar, Tommy Hilfiger, and Vakko.

During a USA visit, of Turgut Özal (one of the old Turkish Prime Minister’s), he is inspired and planned to build a Galleria-Houston like shopping mall in Turkey. Later on, Galleria Ataköy was opened in 1988. Galleria was a milestone for shopping habits in Turkey.  After the opening of Galleria, Turkey became a center of shopping malls in Europe and many new huge shopping malls opened incessantly. Today, there are 450 huge shopping malls in Turkey.

Galleria has 140 stores on two floors an average of 1.2 million visitors monthly. Many famous brands are also located inside the mall.
